1920s Van Briggle Indian Head Vase, Vintage Fine Art Ceramics, Antique American Art Pottery, Blue on Blue Arts and Crafts Decor Vintage from the 1920's Underside which appears to have a Sandy tone color with Grainy Texture, sometimes called bus bottom and produce during the 1920s. This is a beautiful older piece of any collector would love to have.

Dating to the late 1920s, this amazing antique Van Briggle vase has three Indian heads in a stylized design. This great Arts and Crafts vase has a Turquoise an Blue glazing , which is a rich Turquoise with subtle touches of darker Blue on the decorations. The faces are amazing one with a sad face, one with a frown and one with the smile shown wonderfully on this piece.The bottom is sandy colored, and it has an incised logo, Van Briggle, and Colo. Sp’gs. in block letters.
This vase was a novelty item introduced in the 1920's and produced, with variations, through the 1950's. Note though that the faces are less detailed than in some of the later vases, giving it a more mysterious, somber mood. You can still see some hazy features, even bumps in the braids hanging down, but nothing is distinct.
The vase is in great condition! No chips, cracks or marks!
