GM’s A body platform was one of the most popular demanded chassis’ during the iconic muscle car era of the late 60s. The A Body chassis was a recipe that was perfect for much of American culture and lifestyle during this era- thanks to it’s FR layout, well balanced intermediate size, four link coil suspension, and offerings of a coupe, convertible, sedan, truck, and even wagon layout. With models such as the Chevelle, El Camino, 442, Cutlass, GTO, and other models bearing the A body layout, it is clear to see how much of the market the A body series had owned during America’s primetime.
This LeMans is the perfect summer driver that checks all of the boxes: V8 power and sound, 4 speed manual with nice and tight shifter feedback, convertible, and RWD. Wearing an older restoration, it is a car that can be enjoyed without fear of damaging fresh paint or chromework. We restored this vehicle for a client in 1996, surpassing a total of ,000.00 for all work involved. Since then, it enjoyed the last 25 years cruising the Long Island shore by the Hamptons. It features the classic sporty wheel and tire package- Torq Thrusts with BF Goodrich Radial T/A’s, and added class thanks to the gorgeous LeMans chrome bumpers. Coupled with an attractive shade of Matador Red and it’s convertible top, this LeMans is certain to turn heads. With a fresh clutch and rear main seal, this LeMans wants nothing more than to go out for some spirited drives. An entire booklet of restoration estimates, invoices, receipts and other paperwork from 1993 and onward is included with the purchase of this vehicle.
