Up on the auction block is a pair of 1930's National leather boxing gloves! As the photos show, they are in used but great shape (see all photos for condition)! There are lights signs of use and a few broken stitches (see close-up) but that about it. The leather is soft and supple and still very strong. It has a sweet look and nice luster. The draw strings (what's left of them) look to be old but most likely not the originals. Marked on the wrists is the NATIONAL maker mark. It is readable on one of them but not on the other (see close-up). The padded cloth interior of the gloves is also in good shape. They measure 9 1/2" in length.
