David Ortiz Boston Red Sox Mid-2000s Game Issued Rawlings ERROR Bat Used?

Up for your consideration is a David Ortiz mid-late 2000's era Game Issued Model Bat. This bat was made by Rawlings and has Ortiz's #34 handwritten on the handle end of the bat.
As you can see, Rawlings mis-spelt Ortiz's last name on the barrel of the bat. A very unique error bat that was corrected later on. Please note, as you can see on the handle, there is no batch # or year on the handle knob, just the 456B numbering.
Bat shows very minimal wear and was picked up at an auction earlier this year out of the collection of Dr. David Pressman, a doctor closely tied to the Boston Red Sox. The bat was listed as a game used bat of David's in that auction though I have no evidence to attribute it to any specific game of Ortiz which is why the item is being listed as game issued.
