Maurice takes pride in Belle and his new family on this endearing gold-finished character pin, one in a series of fantastic Father's Day portraits. Enamel cloisonné. Imported. The rectangular picture has Princess Belle, Beast, Mrs. Potts, Cogsworth and Lumiere, all from "Beauty and the Beast." The portrait has a purple background with a brown frame. SIZE: approx. 2" H.  This pin is an Artist Proof  and has the AP on the pin back.
An Artist Proof pin, or AP pin, is a pin that is used to verify details of a pin before it is released to the public. Generally, 24 AP pins will be created for each pin produced. If a pin is of a lower edition size, the number of AP pins made may be lower. On rare occasions if a pin is cancelled at the last minute due to an oversight, the AP run will have been made already and will still be put into circulation. These pins will have an “AP” stamped on the back of the pin somewhere. Because Disney uses different manufacturers and different styles of backstamp, the location and size of the “AP” stamp will vary. Some stamps may be blatantly obvious while others may be so small you may not be able to see it.  This pin is the GOLD, I have previously sold the silver and black from this set offered from Disney Shopping.  Pin is mint on card.
