GlobeSidebander DSB-100 was the answer to a new “sideband”technology, It put out double sideband, AM or CW. It was made as a stand alone transmitter, or as a sideband exciter for the more powerful Globe transmitters such as the Champ.
Very few were made as technology quickly morphed into single sideband. This model is an extremely rare version of a very,very rare transmitter in that it has the “hawksbeak” knobs instead of the round gray knobs which became standard. It has had a 3-wire cord installed for safety. We loaded it up on a light bulb “dummy antenna” a few months ago and were able to get a reasonable signal (for a light bulb). Sold as is due
to parts swappers and age of the equipment.
