All items are described to the best of my ability; any mistakes are completely unintentional, I am not a military person and I am only selling some of my friends late husbands collectibles. I welcome any corrections/additions you may have to offer.
The Honourable Artillery Company was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1537 by King Henry VIII and is the second oldest military organisation in the world (behind the Vatican’s Pontifical Swiss Guard). Today, it is a registered charity whose purpose is to attend to the “better defence of the realm”. This purpose is primarily achieved by the support of the HAC Regiment and a detachment of Special Constabulary to the City of London Police.
This has been part of a massive military and die- cast collection that has been housed in air conditioned glass enclosed cabinets since they were purchased in the 1980's and 1990's.
    Some information on Collector.
The avid owner of this extensive military collection was a colorful military soldier in his own right.
His military obsession began as a young child in London who was sent to the country away from his parents and family for safety during WWII with the Operation Pied Piper Program that was started in 1939. This obviously left a life long impression on this young mind.
He joined the British Army at a young age and after 8 years decided he wanted a little bit more adventure so he joined the New Zealand Army. He thought his tour to New Zealand would be his excuse to, "See the World." Unfortunately, he was assigned a position right there in London working along side a high ranking General. After 2 years of not starting his journey to see New Zealand he left the New Zealand Army. Low and behold he saw a John Wayne Military movie and decided that he needed to come to the United States. Hence, he bought a one - way ticket to New York City and upon landing went straight to the Marine Recruitment Center and proceeded to tell them, " I was in the British and New Zealand Army and now I am here to help you guys out!"
He volunteered for two tours in Vietnam and enjoyed many exciting tours in his 20 years with the Marines.
Through the courtesy of the U S Marines, he finally realized his lifelong passion to, "See The World."
Even in retirement he had the desire to help his fellow man. He ended his long Military Career of Honor, Courage and Commitment by becoming a Police Officer for a small town in Louisiana.
    What a guy!
