Killion / Davis Standard 8" Flexible Lip Sheet Extrusion Extruder Die.

Description

8" flexible lip stainless sheet die. A threaded adapter plate is bolted on the back of the die.
It was made by Davis-Standard / Killion and has the serial number on the die.
This die can make mono-layer sheet with the capability to make multi-layer co-extruded sheet with an added extruder and feed block.
Die gap is .026" maximum (open) to make 10-26 mil sheet or .5 - 10 mil cast film . It can be tightened down to reduce the gap to make thin sheet or cast film.
The die is in excellent condition. It was used 3-4 times in our film and sheet extrusion lab for unfilled, non-abrasive, non-corrosive polypropylene.
Die has been cleaned and is in excellent condition. Lips have no nicks or wear. The inside of the die is shiny but the RA # is unknown.
It comes with four wired cartridge heaters. The die will require a thermocouple but the receptacle is on the die.
Die has new end plate gaskets installed.
There is one small bolt in the lower section of the die that broke off but its absence affects nothing and can be replaced if desired.
Lower lip is in excellent condition.
This die was/is ,000 new and is every bit as nice as a new one.
