    Description

Here we have Kitchener’s Army and Territorial Forces: The Full Story of a Great Achievement. It is number One of Six Parts. This is a very interesting piece of WWI British Militaria. It was published by George Newnes circa January 1915 and written by Fleet Street legend, Edgar Wallace. On the back cover is an advertisement for Fry’s Cocoa drawn by Ernest Noble. This is an extremely scare publication.
    Measurements: 11 1/4″ by 8 1/2″; 33 pages
Condition: Readable, antique condition. Cover is separated and has been taped in the past, leaving marks and residue. There are various tears to the covers, soiling and folds. Please study photos carefully.
A Little History: The New Army, often referred to as Kitchener’s Army or, disparagingly, as Kitchener’s Mob, was an (initially) all-volunteer army of the British Army formed in the United Kingdom from 1914 onwards following the outbreak of hostilities in the First World War in late July 1914. ~ courtesy of Wikipedia
