Let’s be clear: This bat is MLB Authenticated as a Royals team issued Victus, Pro Reserve bat. The Authentication does not mention Meibrys Viloria. But the bat is engraved with Viloria’s name. It has pine tar all over it. It is cracked. And it has Viloria‘a number (#72) written in sharpie on the knob. Odds are good this is a game-used Viloria bat, but the Royals couldn’t authenticate which game. Viloria, of course, signed with the Royals in July 2013. He made his MLB debut on September 2, 2018.
