Nice 1956 Goodyear Tire & Rubber basketball trophy, Akron, Ohio

Description

Here is a very nice small basketball trophy from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio.  Probably from one of their plant leagues after the war.  It's about 5.5" tall, and the base is 5" x 3" -- perfect size to fit on a shelf or in a display cabinet.  The plate is marked Goodyear 1956 Champs; no names or tournaments listed.  Solid, heavy piece.  Base is marble; some of the veins look like cracks, but they aren't.  The trophy, like many of them back at that time, came from Al Backer's Jewelry store on East Market Street in East Akron.  Very good condition with no breakage or major scuffs/mars.  Could use -- and deserves --  a good, gentle cleaning and polishing.  Nice item.  Be the bidder!

RETURNS: I will gladly accept a return if I describe an item inaccurately. You must notify me within 14 days of receipt of the item, and the ad description must have been markedly incorrect. I will reimburse the full purchase price and the return postage. I MUST receive the item back in the same condition I sent it out.
