  • Condition: Vase has a very small glaze flake on the top rim, that appears to have originally been a splinter, which has flaked off to show the bare clay underneath. There are no other flaws, that is, no other chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no repairs, nor are there any other flaws. Vase has a buff bottom and block letterin characteristic of ca. 1920 VB production, and the turquoise glaze coloration is also more like the turquoise of the 1920's, with darker blues shaded greener turquoise at the top rim. Neat old VB vase, with a top rim glaze flake, and exactly as pictured in the attached photos.

    Description

    This item is an old ca. 1920's Van Briggle 4-1/2 inch turquoise glazed vase, with the vase having a top rim small glaze flake, as we are picturing, but with no other significant flaws. Top rim glaze flake appears to have originally been a 'splinter', which has flaked off to show the bare clay underneath. There are no other flaws, no other chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no repairs, nor are there any other flaws. Vase has a buff bottom and block lettering characteristic of ca. 1920 VB production, and the turquoise glaze coloration is also more like the turquoise of the 1920's, with darker blues near the bottom, shaded to greener turquoise at the top rim.
