    Description

    This is a Portuguese Air Force Parachute Jump Wing in bright chrome and enamel. It appears to be an unusual and very handsome design: note the large, naturalistic parachute canopy with the letter "A" descending from it. It also has the less-common blue shield with the five circles that may represent the 5 wounds of Christ. It is in excellent condition, and is originally from the collection of noted author and collector Pete Prichard, who at the time of his passing was working towards a book on flight insignia. This is from his exceptional collection of wings of Portugal. The badge is pin-back, multi-piece, with excellent and detailed. It measures 2 7/8 inches wide, and 1 3/4 inches tall. This is an extremely scarce Jump wing badge.
