Van Briggle Mulberry 9" Vase, Dirty Bottom, c. 1920's

This listing is for a beautiful original American Art Pottery vase in the mulberry color made by Van Briggle in the 1920's. The vase has a molded leaf design on the lower body that extends upward to the band around the mouth. The vase has a rich mulberry color with matte finish and has what is called a dirty bottom. Marked with the Van Briggle trademark stamp and "Van Briggle" which dates the vase to 1922-26.
Measures 9" high with a 4 1/4" top diameter, an overall width of 6 1/4 and a 3 3/4" base diameter. Weighs 2.11 pounds.
This nice vase is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no major flaws. There are a few faint rubs and and a couple of unidentified white specks on the rounded area of the lower body from normal handling and wear. There is also a small rough spot on the rim that is under the glaze that occurred during production.
