    Description

Here is an unusual Van Briggle Pottery tree trunk vase covered with a cement like coating and wooden branch slices made as a souvenir for the 1933 Worlds Fair.  It was done over the dragonfly vase in Mountain Craig Brown, number 792 in the shape book, designed in 1909 by Anne Gregory Van Briggle.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws.  It measures 6 3/4 inches tall and about 3 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest.   Marked with the firms double AA box mark and all caps Van Briggle dating the pot to the 1920's.  A different piece from the famous Colorado Springs art pottery.  If you have any questions please click on our username or visit our store page and feel free to email through the gallery or call Jim Messineo at JMW Gallery.
