Van Briggle Pottery Cat Kitten Figurine Mat Blue-Violet-1990s Mid Century Modern

A very cute example of Van Briggle’s creativity when they produced this playful kitten figurine. I believe this example along with another kitten in a different pose were designed and marketed in the last half of the 20th century. I have seen and owned these figurines in a multitude of different colors.  The turquoise and rose hues tend to be most often found; the creators of this example combined a darker blue with the rose color to create a lovely shade of blue-violet. This example is the upright version of the van Briggle cat figurine, different from the other two currently listed in my shop. The kitten stands 3 1/4” tall to the tip of the ear and measures 3” from raised paw to back of tail. After thorough examination, I can fine no damage or repairs. There is minor crazing upon close inspection, none of which is stained. I have several of these in both poses and different colors of which will be posted in my shop.  Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.
