The sugar bowl with lid is in beautiful condition with no chips, cracks Or Crazing . The creamer has no Cracks or crazing . It does have a chip Around the rim of the brown edging. Please refer to Photos.
STANGL Pottery was manufactured in Trenton, NJ from 1955 until November 1978. In the 1940s Stangl introduced his hand carved and hand painted dinnerware, which is his best known product. When Stangl Pottery ceased manufacturing and closed forever it signaled the end of a truly unique American folk-art product. Needless to say Stangl Pottery is highly collectable :)
The thistle pattern was produced between 1951 and 1978. Part of the pattern was carved directly into the clay, and each of the pieces was hand painted so that no two pieces are exactly the same!
