Vintage Original Hand Thrown Otis Wills Van Briggle Ming Blue Ombre Matte Glaze Pitcher. This is a rare piece which was hand thrown as opposed to being created with a mold. I have not found another pitcher with this simple style. On the bottom is is incised, "Van Briggle Original Colo. Spgs. Colo.." There is also an O with a squiggle, representing Otis Wills who was both an artist and finisher from 1943 to 1964. There is also the "double A" logo, representing the Van Briggle founders, Artus and Anne. There is a "6" written in ink, which may be something added later - I don't know.
