Description
Vintage Stangl serving platter in the "Thistle" pattern featuring pink thistle flowers and 2 tone green leaves on a cream background with a brown underside.  This serving dish has a unique shape-- curved with one side wider than the other and it's footed with 2 raised bars on the bottom.  It measures 11-1/2" long x 7-1/2" (long side) and 4" (short side).  It's perfect for serving relish, bread, vegetables, hors d'oeuvres...... whatever you please. Marked "Stangl Potteries Trenton, N.J. Thistle".
It is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks and it has a very glossy finish, but there is crazing throughout, a few glaze pops and a small chip in the glaze on the bottom-- all adding to the vintage charm, in my opinion.  Refer to my photos, which can be enlarged, for details on condition.  (Please be aware that the white spots and some markings you may see are from the glare on the shiny surface).
