Available is aRare Vintage Rebecca at the Well Van Briggle Ming Blue Turquoise
. The piece is in good condition; no chips or cracks and measures 17 inches high and 7-3/4 inches across the base. There is a small area of glaze flaking on Rebecca's right shoulder blade (photo 6.) The
'Rebecca at the Well'
was mostly made to be a lamp base, this one never was and has not been drilled for the fittings. It is marked on the base with the initials TE are attributed to
Eloise Trujillo, known to have finished pieces from 1984 until 2002

"The Van Briggle Pottery Company was founded in 1901 by Artus Van Briggle in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Artus was an accomplished artist and potter from Cincinnati, Ohio who had previously worked at the Rookwood Pottery Company. He studied abroad in Paris during the years of 1892-1896. By 1901 he had headed to Colorado Springs to open his own pottery studio. The Van Briggle Pottery Company officially opened for business in August 1901 with an initial kiln load of 300 pieces ready for sale to the public.The company has produced pottery for over 100 years." The pottery studio closed in 2012.
